Greta isn’t just our namesake — she’s the heart and spirit behind The GRETA Project.
She’s a rescue dog who was found walking alone in a store parking lot, hungry, tired, and in need of care.
From the very beginning, Greta showed courage, resilience, and gentleness — qualities that perfectly reflect the mission of our project.
Greta is part German Shepherd, part Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog, and 100% heart.
Her mix inspired her name: “Greta the Great.”
Like her breeds, she’s loyal, protective, and instinctively watches over others — just as The GRETA Project works to protect those who can’t always protect themselves.
Greta travels with us across the country in our awareness RV, greeting travelers at fuel stations, RV parks, and community events.
She’s our canine ambassador for hope and safety, showing that compassion and watchfulness save lives — whether it’s rescuing a stray animal or noticing someone who needs help.
When people meet Greta, they stop, smile, and start a conversation — and that’s where awareness begins.
Through those simple moments, she helps open doors to life-saving information about recognizing and reporting human trafficking.
“See something. Say something.
Help someone find their way home.” 🐾
